Katherine L. Mikalainis
KATHERINE L. MIKALAINIS graduated from the University of Delaware in 1996 and received her J.D. from Pace University School of Law in 1999. While attending law school, she participated in the Moot Court Competition and interned for the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office in Yonkers, New York. Following her graduation from law school, Ms. Mikalainis served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable B. Theodore Bozonelis, A.J.S.C. (ret.) in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Morris County. After completing her clerkship, Ms. Mikalainis served as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office where she handled hundreds of matters including armed robberies, aggravated assaults, and drug offenses from the investigative stages through trial and appeal. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Mikalainis represented homeowner and condominium associations in lawsuits against developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals on a wide variety of claims including defective workmanship claims, design errors and omissions, products liability claims, and breach of contract claims. Since joining the firm in July of 2013, Ms. Mikalainis’ practice area has been the defense of complex litigation involving construction defects. She is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey as well as in the United States District Court, District of New Jersey and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Morris County Bar Association.
